Well ...because of "hybrid vigor "

Hybrid Vigor means more robust ,healthy and happy pets .

This term also usually mean 'larger than ' .

Telling the size of a Maltipoo or other cross is very difficult .

Most good breeders would tell you this .Some try to guess ,well so do I .I am right and I am wrong .More than apt if a breeder tells you a simple weight or height  and uses the parents as example ,look out ....they cannot always tell by parents .Actually parents are just a small part of the growth of any cross .The gene pool is wide open and a puppy grows according to the gene they pull .And since the poodle was bred down from the standard ,that gene and the miniature gene is just waiting to come forth .You can have a 5 lb female ,5 lb male and get 10 to 12 lb puppies .Happens all the time .

Most canines overseas are larger than their brothers and sisters here .Americans tend to breed down in size  as in 'runt to runt ' ,more and more genetic defects that way .Hybrid vigor helps to bring out more good traits .Certainly has in the Maltipoo .Size should not be an issue ,health should .
